BNC-20 box can contain more than 10 blades. However, due to the requirement to count blades, we think 10 blades is the maximum for ease of counting.
Can BNC-20 be used single-handedly?
The problem of any two-hand operation is re-sheathing, which is dangerous and not allowed in many settings. A scalpel with blade can be inserted into the BNC-20 blade remover mechanism single-handedly and pushed down. Use the other hand to hold down BNC-20 only when the scalpel blade is safely contained in the remover and the handle is about to be pulled out. No resheathing is being involved.
